Community Guidelines - July 2026

Think Ribbon is a place for gamers to share opinions, find games, and meet people who play what they play. These are the rules that keep it that way.

Be respectful

  • No harassment, bullying, or personal attacks. Disagree with the opinion, not the person.
  • No hate speech. Going after people over race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or nationality is not tolerated here.
  • No doxxing. Never post someone's personal information without their permission.
  • Respect other tastes. Someone loving a game you hate, or hating one you love, is not an attack on you.

Keep it honest

  • Write real reviews. Your ratings and reviews should reflect a game you actually played.
  • No review bombing. Don't rate games you haven't played, and don't organize campaigns to push a score around.
  • Say it if you're connected. Got a free copy, work for the developer, or have some other conflict of interest? Mention it.
  • No impersonation. Don't pretend to be a developer, a journalist, or another user.

Spoilers

  • Use spoiler tags on story spoilers.
  • Keep titles clean. No spoilers in post titles or review headlines.

Content

  • Nothing illegal. That includes piracy links, leaks under NDA, and anything else against the law.
  • No spam. Sharing your own work now and then is fine. Flooding the feed isn't.

Bots and automation

  • Automated posting is allowed. Schedule or script your own posts if you want, such as cross-posting your reviews or gaming news.
  • Automated replies are not. Comments and replies to other people have to be written by a person. Bot or AI generated responses aren't allowed.
  • Inhuman activity gets reviewed. Accounts posting or commenting faster or more often than a person could keep up may be flagged and restricted.

Keep discussion healthy

  • Criticism yes, toxicity no. Dislike a game, a studio, or a trend all you want. Say it constructively.
  • No console warring. Platform debates are fine. Tribalism and flame wars aren't.
  • Argue in good faith. Don't bait, troll, or go looking for a reaction.

What happens if you break these

  • Warning. For something minor or a first offense.
  • Content removal. For a post or review that breaks the rules.
  • Temporary suspension. For repeated or more serious violations.
  • Permanent ban. For severe violations, or for not stopping.

We look at the report and the context before we act. If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it.

The short version

Be kind. Be honest. Use spoiler tags. Don't be a jerk.
